The TypePad Preview Realease Goes Live

Posted 10/08/2003 under blogging tools

This release has been very much anticipated by the blogging community if the amount of dialogue about the development of the product is any indication. At the moment I don’t have enough time to play around with it, but I’m sure that many people will and there will no doubt be reviews and comments floating all over the universe before too long.

They say…

TypePad is the simplest and most powerful service for publishing full featured weblogs and photo albums. Your weblog is your place on the Internet to share your ideas, for your friends and family to find out what’s new in your life, and for the chance to be part of an influential new medium. Just sign up and you’ll be publishing your thoughts on the web in minutes.

20six - Your own personal weblog. It’s quick, it’s easy and it’s mobile. Keep your journal up-to-dat

Posted 04/06/2003 under blogging tools

Build your own weblog in just 2 minutes. This seems to be an innovative and fun site. I haven’t had the time to check it out thoroughly as yet but maybe when I have this semester neatly tucked away I will have a closer look at it. The 20six people say that…...

20six (twenty six) is a website for anyone wants to publish a weblog, or an online journal, on the Internet. You can publish whenever you want, whatever you want and from wherever you want. 20six provides the technology to write and publish your own journal.
20six is a group of excited and talented (if we say so ourselves) people in London, Amsterdam, Hamburg and Paris who are captivated by weblogs. We believe that everyone will soon have a weblog and we want to play our part in making that happen.

TypePad

Movable Type’s hosted service ‘Type Pad’ is getting closer to release and there are now screenshots and new information available from the Web site. It seems as if there will be 3 tiers of user operation available, from the basic user who is new to blogging through to the advanced user who desires multiple weblogs and photo albums etc.

There will be a charge for the service, but evidentially it won’t be much more than a couple of cups of coffee. Well… I hope they don’t mean coffee at Tokyo/Ginza prices, but I expect not.

surfarama - an IE toolbar for bloggers and media junkies

Posted 08/05/2003 under blogging tools

This is kind of like the Google toolbar, but it searches Daypop instead. Could be a pretty cool addition to your browser.

Yet another blog linking tool I hear you say?? Well, maybe but vBlog does seem to be taking a different approach to the whole linking issue. I don’t have the time right now to set up my own vBlog so I will leave it up to you to visit their site and see what you can make of their service.
