This morning as I was driving to work through the heavy early morning traffic on Nguyen Thai Hoc St. I very nearly ran into a lady crossing the road. This lady was making her way slowly across in front of me when suddenly she stopped dead not more than 2 metres directly in my path. People are not supposed to stop in front of you like that and it gave me a huge fright!

Luckily, I was able swerve and avoid hitting her head on, but it will give you an idea of what a close call it was when I say that her handbag, which was slung over her shoulder and therefore sitting hard against her body, hit the knuckles of my right hand which was on the throttle. I can still feel some pain from the impact as I write this and I’m just glad that I didn’t go straight into her.

Phew!! I did not need such an adrenalin rush that early in the day!!
